You said you were calling from Men's Wearhouse, so I just assumed you were shopping.

Babs, I generally appreciate your political insight, but this statement is pretty wrong. McCain has the biggest liability of them all: the past 8 years. All the Dems had to do was put a warm body in the seat.

Leno had a good W joke recently...

She could get the Joe six pack vote back if she just said $100,000 of it was for lingerie.

So in your mind, this election was McCain's to give away, eh?

Interesting. I suspect your opinion is in the minority.

You are suspicious of all minorities, Tex. You can't help it.

There is no excuse for this performance. He benefited from the most tightly-contested Dem primary in forty years, resulting in a gaggle of pissed off Democrats and the nomination of the most liberal candidate probably in history. McCain failed to capitalize.

Yep. This election was the Republicans to lose. Sure we were blown out in the 2006 elections, in the middle of an unpopular war, in an economic crisis, and we have supported eight years of the most unpopular president in our lifetimes. But the GOP had this sucker in the bag! It was ours for the taking and we blew this gimme election.

And if we can't beat a young, hip, tall, handsome, dynamic, well-spoken Democrat with a stiff, short, pale, bald, temperamental, bumbling Republican, then we don't deserve to win.
