Yes, Ringo is lucky, but I'd say that Ric Ocasek is a more recent lucky man.

Both have/had beautiful wives while being extraordinarily ugly themselves (One of my favorite SNL weekend updates moment was a quick cut to a photo of Ocasek while the announcer says "Gee Ric, why the long face?"). The difference is that Ocasek earned his by writing, singing, perfroming and prodcuing some very good 70s and 80s music, while Ringo earned his by being nearby when Pete Best was fired. Ringo, quite frankly, was awful but was lucky in a 'Being There' sort of way. So I have to choose Ringo as the luckier guy.

As an honorable mention lucky man, I'd say Rod Stewart landing Rachel Hunter was rather impressive as well.

Here's what we learn in this thread:
People like radio people who mirror their political beliefs. Board liberals like Olberman. Board conservatives do not. Board conservatives like Beck and Rush. Board liberals do not. I will be back to state more blindingly obvious conclusions later. |

You also learned that Ringo and Ric Ocasek were very lucky men. Try to pay attention to the important stuff, will you?

And we didn't even discuss Steve Tyler.
