We just built a small room in our garage to store stuff. I had the walls insulated like they were exterior walls and put in an insulated exterior door. I'm thinking about buying a small dehumidifier to keep the humidity down, especially during the summer, because there is no real ventilation - just an air duct from the ac unit, which does keep it cold. My wife has also been making bread from the wheat we have started our supply with, which makes me feel better about buying a bunch of wheat. I was always wondering what we would do with a bunch of wheat. However, my wife did sucker me into buying a Bosch mixer so she could make the bread.
One of our stake goals is to have 3-6 months food storage by the end of the year so we are hoping to be there by the end of the year. For those in the Dallas area, does anyone know where you can buy new blue barrels? |
