That's not what it reminds me of. I think the better analogy is the Al Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons who throw out the word "rasicm" whenever someone disagrees with them as a proxy for actual discussion. Rocky throws the word apostate the same way. Some people use name calling as a crutch to try to compensate for a lack of intellectual firepower.

Your mistake is in thinking that you can overcome the inferiority complex that is animating a lot of what he says. He just isn't intelligent enough to know that his hostility isn't necessary.

Actually to me it's a very simple thing. I see someone like SU and see right through his act. Others do not....or they do and just choose not to speak up and call him on it.. and therein lies the difference.
