I'll add one more for your consideration: Terry Kath, the original guitarist of Chicago. He had amazing speed and clarity in his style. The same Jimi H said once that he was a fan of Kath and couldn't do the things that Kath did. Plus, his last words are classics : "DOn't worry, it's not loaded."

did you ever hear the Johnson-perpetuated rumor that he sold his soul to the devil?

It is a big part of the legend. The movie crossroads is based, sort of, on this story. Johnson had a song called crossorads upon which the movie and legend are based, I believe.

Me too. It's a bit of an acquired taste, but he has some great stuff. I think Train a 'Comin is my favorite album. All that time in rehab must have spurred his creative juices.

Have you ever seen the Cure in concert? Robert Smith has no stage presence. I swear, I fell asleep.

Uh-oh, you're not one of those "Cure people" are you?

Just kidding, I like the Cure, but some of their hard-core fans were a little freaky.

I am a hardcore Cure fan. It doesn't bother me that Marsupial found Robert Smith boring, as I put folks like that into the same category as those who find baseball boring:

If it's boring, you don't understand it.

My cousin is a huge Cure fan. She has a Robert Smith portrait tattoo on one shoulder with lyrics in red spreading out from his head like the rising sun. She also has his eyes tattooed on the inside of each knee.

I like The Cure, but any likeness of Robert Smith will never adorn my body.

I wouldn't get a Robert Smith tattoo either. Dude's a freak, but I love the music, especially the old stuff before he became a freak.
