Then why were you ecstatic that Obama picked Biden? What difference does that pick make?

If you read the last sentence of my previous post, even you should be able to figure that out.

I bet there will be more than a few GOPers saying, dang wish McCain and Palin were flip-flopped.

McCain thinks otherwise, which is why this pick is so sensationally odd for him. It is as if he went out of his way to find someone whose experience is far less than the experience of the person he has criticized as not being ready. Clearly McCain thinks Palin is ready. By extension, clearly he thinks Obama is ready.
If judgment is key, then we have to seriously worry about Obama and his known associates.

They certainly should have added the requirement of executive leadership. That would have eliminated all of the annoying problems created by such presidents as Lincoln and Truman, given they wouldn't have been permitted to run.
who was the last sitting senator elected?

Clearly. If you can't make a point on the facts, toss a non sequitur in for good measure.

This is a ballsy pick. It gives youth to contrast with McCain's age, and clearly courts those disaffected by the Democratic Party's dismissal of Hillary. Such an unexpected move also showcases McCain the Maverick, reminding everybody he's not Bush. Finally, the prospects of the first woman Vice President gives Republicans something to root for, infusing a touch of ideology and excitement in the base. It's got its problems, too-- if she gives off the impression of being unqualified, that will simply put more attention on McCain's age and the prospects of him making it 4 to 8 years.

High risk, high reward. If nothing else, you have to admire McCain's testicular fortitude.
