Tomorrow I dine at Ruth's Chris
I think we'll start out with some kind of non-seafood appetizer, if they have one, in order to appease my wife.
Potatoes au gratin seems tempting, but the sweet potato casserole is just so delicious. I am usually a filet man, medium rare, but I am inclined to give the New York Strip a try this time. Asparagus for a veggie. Creme Brulee or the apple crum tart for desert I think. Yum! |

So, where have you been, CW? Haven't seen you around much for quite a while.

I'm also eating there tomorrow night. Last time I ate there I ordered my filet medium and it was too red for my taste so I'm going med well this time.

In January I was in New York on business and went with some colleagues to Mark Joseph Steakhouse down by the Brooklyn Bridge in lower Manhattan. Great steak there by the way. The waiter made the comment to the effect that the filet is for people who don't really like steak, while the ribeye is the tastier, most legit cut of meat for true steak enthusiasts. I took umbrage to this comment as I much prefer a tender filet to a ribeye, and steak is one of my favorite foods, if not my favorite. Is this waiter correct, and, if so, why? Please advise. |

By the way, CW. What's with the new name? Background?

Thanks. I created a Colly Wolly account here a long time ago, left the board for a while, and when I came back I couldnt remember my password. So I created the Stick It In Him account.
Colly Wolly is just a dumb nickname my high school buddies used to call me to give me a hard time every once in a while, but its my xbox live gamertag and my id on some other message boards so consistency was the motivation for the change. |
