Default More tragedy

She took up cycling and tri's after mourning the death of her husband, and now dies in fundraising effort in Ironman. Her children are now orphans. Or maybe she remarried, can't tell from the article.

Good grief. This is reminiscent of the Christopher and Dana Reeve tragedy. What a terrible thing to have happen.

Man, these threads are scary. We just had one 2 days ago here. A local physician's wife (who had been hit by a car a couple years ago also) was riding on the widest shoulder in the entire city and was mowed down by a young mother who was reaching into the back seat to give her baby a bottle. Apparently when she reached into the back seat she took her eyes off the road and pulled the wheel to the right just slightly enough not to notice she was veering off the road. This cyclist had been an inspiration to many after rehabbing herself back onto the bike. Rumors here say that she won't live through the weekend.
