Default Is this a coincidence or what?

Years ago when I was a missionary, a young woman was baptized into the ward that I was serving in.

Now, 7 years later, she is serving in the San Diego mission and last week was transferred into my ward. She is the smoking-hot sister missionary's new companion.

What a trip! And now I feel very obligated to find her some referrals....

There is no such thing as coincidence. It's all predetermined fate.

No Dear Abby I didn't mean it that way. I mean what are the odds that any two missionaries of either gender will end up serving in each other's home wards?

This is actually the second time this happened to me: back in 1999 an Elder Kinney from Arkansas served in my ward, the Eagle Gate (now Ensign) 7th ward, and two years later I was in Arkansas serving in his ward.

Small church.

The LDS church does indeed make the world small. While in Italy, some of the youth from the Foggia branch went to the Swiss Temple to do baptisms for the dead and while there met a few missionaries that were serving in that city. When they showed me and my companion the pics they had taken with those missionaries, one of them was a good friend of mine from high school.

When I came home from the mission, one of the Elders serving in the area where my parents live was the younger brother of a native Sister missionary that was serving in the same mission I was in. He spoke English well enough that he was able to serve in an English speaking mission, so a kid from La Spezia, Italy was serving in Sandy, Utah.
