Default 24 Last Night Was awesome...

Spoiler, so don't read ahead if you haven't seen it/don't care.

When they were interrogating Fayed, I knew what they were going to do, thanks to the 6 minute teaser on the DVD from the previous season. No surprise there.

What WAS awesome though was Jack just pure kicking ass against all of the terrorists in that scene at the end and killing Fayed. Where he took out the one terrorists leg and then broke his neck was awesome. Violent, but awesome.

I'm not as annoyed as most are by Audrey (mainly because my favorite Aunt looks a fair amount like her) but I'm not sure how I feel about the next 8 hours involving her. I guess I"ll have to see how they play out, but the last episode was great I thought.

Agreed. Last night was a great hour of tv.

This is the first season I have
watched 24. Are the previous seasons as good as this? If so, I just may have to buy the DVDs.

Some are better, some aren't quite as good, some are right on par with this one.

It would certainly make more sense watching the previous seasons, as there are things that carry over from them.

That's good enough reason for me.

Gotta love online purchases.

this is the worst season by a long shot, in my opinion. I still love it, but I think season's past were just better..

Really? Why?

If this is bad, then I don't want it to be good.

I will say that the latest 24 episode was terrific. My wife and I had grown weary of 24 with recurring storylines (it seems like they picked out about 10 different plotlines from the past seasons) and some very predictable situations.

But that has all changed. There were surprises in this episode and it has taken a new interesting storyline. Well done 24.

It was the best episode of the season by far.

Season 6 hasn't been up to par as Seasons 4 & 5 were, but still better than the worst Season,,which was Season 3.

Audrey doesn't bother me. Now Kim...she's the worst character in 24 history. I think every fan would be glad if she never came back in any storyline.

Those who don't like 24 complain that there's no character development, which if one has been watching objectively and with their eyes open knows that isn't true. The sudden shift in plot twist for the season was a good move. Season 6 was turning into a complete redux of Season 2, but not executed as well.

It was a great episode.

Agreed, it was awesome. Especially considering how stale the last ten or so episodes have generally been.

When Jack hitched a ride on the garbage truck, I thought, 'here we go again. Jack's gonna get caught, tortured a bit, then escape, but Fayed will escape too, AGAIN, etc. etc.' SO refreshing to see Jack just freakin end the thing right then and there. And yes, breaking necks is always great. As is wrapping a chain around some guys neck and hanging him.
