I met Admiral James Stockdale; sat next to him (across the aisle). He did not ask where he was. His wife was very pushy, but he was nice.

I sat next to Eddie Arnold at an ice capades when I was 8 years old. He was a nice guy.

I skied across Wayne Wong's skis once at alta.

I said hello to Robert Redford at Alta a few years after he opened his own resort and when we asked him why he wasn't skiing there he just laughed.

As I have mentioned elsewhere, my son and wife met 5 Us presidents at once (carter, ford, Reagan, bush senior and Clinton) while I watched from the audience.

I was invited to a private concert with Alanis Morissette at a local radio station. I had never been a fan of hers but went for the fun of it. It was in a small studio and they recorded a couple of live songs with an audience of about 20. Afterwards she mingled and posed for photos. She was incredibly gracious and charming.

I had back stage passes to a counting crows concert. They were pretty boring and normal (like me), and Durwitz is a surprisingly big dude.

I rode up alongside Arnold Schwarzenengger years ago ont he bike path in Santa Monica. He was in his pumped up phase still and he looked ridiculous on the bike. But he was also surprisingly friendly.

There have been a few others, but my list is pretty slim compared to most, and gidget is right, I am a lot older.

If it makes you feel better, I have never really met anyone famous and I am not that young. I know, have met, or taken classes from some famous economists but I am not sure they would really be known outside the profession except maybe the Nobel prize winners (and even then I am not so sure). Oh and I met Elder Cook of the twelve (as I have mentioned before).

If you are into Nobel/Economist porn, I went to hear Muhammed Yunus speak at BYU commencement one year. He was great.

I met Marcus Allen in the SLC airport. Ironically, we had just gotten back from the BYU/USC game. He was on his way home from covering some NFL game.

I guess that would pretty much be numbers 1-10 on my top 10 list.

I've also met Rod Dixon, winner of the '83 NYC Marathon, but no one gives a crap about that.

I just remebered a couple of others. I went to a luau in Montreal (it was at a mormon church) put on by Junior Ah You, who played for the Montreal alouettes. ALso attendeing were Fred Biletnikoff and the linebacker from Ohio State who jumped ot the CFL (Chris something or another) whose name I can't recall but who had possibly the largest neck and shoulders on any human I have ever met (only true until I meet pelagius in person, of course).

Mitt Romney

That would be the proper order.

Chris Spielman? He is pretty swole, mighty swole but he is at a disadvantage relative to me: snythol. it works wonders but football players can't use it.

That's him. His neck was wider than his head by maybe 4 or 5 inches.
