You are correct. I was 29 on my 20th birthday. It's the new math. All the rage.

We met because I was passing out cookies I had baked in a lame attempt to celebrate my birthday on a college mission trip. He sheepishly came back and asked if he another one, and then another one.

He's actually pretty bitter about this first impression because he erroneously inferred that I actually, you know, visit the kitchen on a regular basis and even perhaps know how to work the oven thingy.
