Default NYC cop takes out cyclist

Have we discussed this yet? NYC cop takes this guy out hard at a critical mass rally. Cop's story is that he asked the guy to stop and guy refused. Cop says guy then drove bike straight into cop causing cyclist to fall. Cop is definitely in big trouble because video shows he's a lying sack...

Is there more to this story that we can read about? The video certainly makes the cop look like he is completely in the wrong. Did the cyclist do anything to provoke what the cop did to him?

The cop claims he did provoke, but it is hard to imagine. ALl those cricial mass rides are a bit belligerent and the riders tend ot be obnoxious, but nothing really justifies what the cop did.

I'm inclined to agree that the cop was in the wrong. I just noticed in the video that both cops were moving toward the cyclist and wondered why they would do that.
