Okay Dems...
What is the appeal of Hillary for President in 2008? I am struggling to try to understand it.
http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/09/07/poll/index.html I personally would be very interested in seeing Guiliani as President as I felt very confident with his leadership skills during 9-11... however, I am am unclear on a lot of his policies, so that could also influence my decision. Seriously though, why Hillary? |

One client of mine posited America must be a great place, because our best people are NOT in politics. An interesting thought.
Perhaps there simply are no good people involved at the national level. So, you have crap to choose from and people are simply deciding which crap stinks less. So for the liberal women who wants to displace white male america, whatever that is, she is their only option. You can enslave business with high taxation, thereby penalizing white male america through her policies.

An amazing poll.
For Repubs the top two will never the get the nomination and they'll force Allen or Frist on us (who the hell is Brownback?). Idiots. For Democrats, Hillary, and then options 2-4 were all losers in the last two national elections. Big idiots. Thankfully it's early.

Poll results like this aren't surprising. The general electorate does not follow politics closely. As a result, the people that do the best in these polls are the ones that have the greatest name recognition (Hillary and Giuliani).
I personally doubt Hillary gets the nomination (and insiders have indicated she may be deciding against a run in 2008 in favor of working to become Senate Minority Leader and running for president in 2012). No way Giuliani gets the nomination. He isn't close to being conservative enough, and his personal life is a disgrace. In fact, my money for the Democrats would be among Warner, Richardson, Vilsack and Edwards (my favorite being Warner). With Republicans, Romney, Pataki, and Allen (if he wins in Virginia in November) would be my guesses (Romney being my favorite). Last edited by Cali Coug; 09-07-2006 at 05:38 PM. |

If Hillary decides to run...I think we will see some of the most negative anti ads this nation has seen. George Bush has, over the years, a lot of people that hate him, no doubt. But the right way despises Hillary. The hate against Hillary is rabid and will be ugly and brutal from day one.
