LDS Twitter account blocks its own
I was blocked by the LDS Church's twitter account. I have admittedly said some controversial things.
But the LDS Church's official twitter account has also blocked all kinds of my acquaintances who are liberal without even agitating much. I find this fascinating. I decided to consult the Community of Christ on the matter: https://twitter.com/cofchrist/status/490111131474599936 |

I had a twitter account but never used it. I have never followed anybody on twitter. From what I can discern from afar, twitter is used by celebrities to keep them in the news. Do you earn money by how many people follow you? What is the economics of it?

I have a twitter account to follow mostly media persons. It's a quick way to get a glimpse of what is going on and to get links to interesting information. Including sports. I found out about Jimmer by checking my twitter feed before going to bed. The tweets come out before the articles.

You sign up on twitter. Then you search for accounts that you might find interesting, depending on what you like. For example, maybe you would enjoy following fitness fanatics and cycling pros. Then whenever you want, on your phone or on your desktop, you can quickly check your twitter feed and scan what those people are saying. A lot of them may be linking to blogs or articles and you can click if u want.

Once you start following people, a personal community of sorts develops. It's kind of interesting. Jeff Holland has not blocked me, nor has the Mormon Newsroom. |

Give Twitter a chance! It is fantastic. Choose who you follow carefully and you can meet TONS of people who you otherwise wouldn't talk with. It allows you to explore new ideas and points of view in a safe environment. You should check it out! |
