anyone use Google Voice?

I just signed up, trying to decide how I might use it most effectively.

I could see it, for example, being useful as a number you might list in the ward directory. That way you can get transcripted voicemails.

I never answer my home phone. I told my wife, that as long as we didn't have caller ID, I would not answer that phone. Sick of the robo calls, getting hit up by charities, etc.

If you want to reach me, call me on my cell. If you don't have my cell, I probably don't want to hear from you anyway. So we basically use our home phone as a voicemail device.

I'm not certain I am wanting to give out this google # to everyone in place of my cell #. We shall see....
