Default Internet Addiction

Do you believe there is such a thing as Internet Addiction? If yes, how do you think it differs from other addictions? Obviously, it’s not a physical addiction, but is it an endorphin-seeking behavior, like shoplifting or gambling? It sounds made up to me, but maybe too much time on the 'Net is an anti-social behavior without redeeming value?

I don’t know.

I figure that spending time on the internet just means I'm not spending it watching tv. Does that mean I 'm addicted to tv?

I think you’re right, I thought about that after I pushed "Submit." Is there any difference between being on the 'Net or watching TV? - probably not, or even reading a book for that matter. And they can both (TV or a book) be anti-social.
