In my belief, he was taken in by loving arms and was told "well done my good and faithful servant."

Even it if was wrong (and I can't judge that), it does not erase a life of service and humility.

There's a specific pamphlet that the church puts out (or at least used to put out) concerning suicide, and as I recall, it very clearly indicates that suicide is often the result of mental illness and/or other factors and that we should be careful about the unrighteous judgments we make.
