"Little?"

Sure... Steal the fat guy's thunder...

Maybe if I get under 220 this summer I'll get up to a century ride. For now I can only take a couple of hours in the saddle.

I could spend all day in the saddle, or all night if the opportunity presented itself. Some type of saddle soreness is a good thing.

If you want to get under 220, focus more on the longer, slower rides. Don't kill yourself with TT type rides.
Other that that, congrats. 33 miles is great.
I did a 44 mile loop up Am Fork canyon on saturday and broke a spoke on my roadie. Great ride though. I too was left wanting more.

Her's a proposal for you. Come to Utah and lets to the 24 hours of Moab. I would need to investigate the dates. And you would have to fat-tire it. But I think it would be awesome.

24 Hrs of Moab = 24 unforgettable hours of bragging rights.

Careful... It's got an addictive ingredient that makes you crave it annually.

I haven't had a chance yet. The year I was supposed to go was the year of "the big crash" and the weight came on after that. However, my friends who ride the 24 hours are now disciples of the race and pray to its god.

I'm down to 240+ from 280. I took a month off for finals and a nasty flu bug but I'm back on the horse now. We'll see if I can dump some lbs this summer.

Is this a Mountain Bike ride?

I don't do mountain bike yet. Especially not downhilling. I can't afford those wicked crashes you get in mountain biking.

I've got a lot of races left though.

Ironman CDA june 25-26

Some centuries in July and races in August and Lotoja in September.

It's a mountain bike ride but it's not really technical. Lots of roadies make the cross over for this event.

After spending as much time as you have on a set of skinnys you'd do fine on a mountain bike. Full suspension and some 2.1 tires and you'll feel like you're on a motorcycle.
