Went to a wave pool with the family for the first time
It was a lot of fun. My son, who is normally a little scared in swimming pools, ran straight in and had a blast.
One thing I noticed however--the crowd there (and it was large) was probably 95% black and hispanic. At $6 for adults and $5 for kids, it's not exactly super cheap, on the other hand compared to the six-flags type water parks, it is very cheap. But it goes back to one of the fundamental tenets of American society: living around each other is one thing. Bathing and swimming in the same water is another thing. Yet another example of white flight. Another example, the super-Walmart not far from me is overwhelmingly black and hispanic among both customers and employees. I suggested to one of my 16 yr old scouts that he get a job, and maybe he should apply there. "Those are jobs for blacks and Mexicans," he says, apparently oblivious to his 17yr old Mexican-American friend sitting next to him. Voluntary racial segregation is an interesting thing. And I see it all the time. |

Oh brother. I'm not going to call anyone a racist just because they don't go to a wave pool. I don't blame them.

I hear you are banned until July 14, 2108 at 9:35am on CB.
That means Jefe's great grandson, in his old age, might lift it. Assuming your cryogenic chamber never loses power. First they came for Jay Santos, and I did nothing. Then they came for MikeWaters, and I did nothing. Then they came for Venomous Viper, and I did nothing. When they came for me, there was no one to protest. |

I haven't visited a public pool in years for public swim. Are you stating that people attend pools by residential region or by race solely?

You said earlier that hispanics won't vote for Obama. But they will swim with blacks? What's to stop blacks and hispanics from visiting white infested pools?
Just asking.
