I believe the ribs have a lot to do with it.
Watch for St. Louis to be a spoiler in a few upcoming tournaments.

This will be very interesting to see whether he can work the magic again. He is one hell of a basketball coach.

The best part is that Majerus is once again under Gordon Monson's skin. Gordo isn't happy at all about this.

I think that Majerus took the job for a couple of reasons:
1. Location--close to his roots and closer to family. 2. Expectations--this is much lower profile than a position like Iowa or USC. He can become the big fish in the pond and do what he wants. I think he will have some success. St. Louis has some basketball history. I see them getting to the NCAA tourney regularly and getting past the first round once in a while. He needs to take care of his health though or this could be a short coaching stint. Good luck to Coach. |

It's all about the lodging
Having been to St. Louis, I can attest that the Chase Plaza Hotel is sure to accommodate their newest resident by providing a 24 hour kitchen stocked with ribs and pasta, and a plethora of desserts!
That being said, I think that Rick Majerus probably needed to get back into coaching - like a fish to water.... still, after the USC debacle, major programs probably didn't want to give him a chance to burn them. Still, gotta love that he knows how to win, and St. Louis got a great coach, even if he's only around for 3 or so years. |
