The idea that we're going to beat programs with better athletes because our coaches are smarter or schemes are better is silly. Deep down, Bronco should know that.

Our coaches are dumber and schemes are sillier. But we can typically beat teams with inferior athletes.

Bronco thinks "schemes" are for the birds. He is all about "executing."

How many times did we try and misdirect, trick or fool the other team? Almost never.

"We are going to run this defensive set the entire game, try to beat us."

"We are going to run these plays the entire game, try to beat us."

Hell, I am starting to miss the mad professor Gary Crowton, dreaming up plays on the back of napkins at 3am.

There's nothing "low" about running some plays who's only purpose is to confuse the other team into opening something up. If you NEVER run a trick play, you get BYU vs TCU, where they spend the entire year studying your offense and exploiting it's weaknesses no matter how well it's "executed" because EVERY play has a weak spot.
