I dont debate that these guys are singers. What I dont get is why anyone cares? A show where lounge acts sing cover songs every week? What is the appeal there? Is it fun? My wife loves the show and always ask her....what the heck do you see in this program? She never can say...she just says she likes it. She also owns zero CDs by American Idol contestants.

Archuleta is a very talented pianist. And he has written several songs, but according to his dad, the contestants are not allowed to sing original stuff.


The only reason I have even watched any of this idiotic show is because the Archuletas are family friends.

The gossip columnists that are trashing Jeff Archuleta do so because he won't allow his underaged son to attend the Hollywood type garbage-fests that they call parties. So he's a horrible stage parent according to them.
