Default Is a NHL game worth going to for $15 nosebleeds?

I have never been to a NHL game. Don't really care for hockey, but I have heard that they are much better in person than on TV.

Should I pay $15 for a nosebleed ticket?

If so, which opponent would be the best to watch, or which two opponents?

vs. Minnesota Wild
vs. Los Angeles Kings
vs. Chicago Blackhawks
vs. Phoenix Coyotes
vs. San Jose Sharks

actually looking at the schedule, I could probably only see the Los Angeles or Chicago games. Which one?

Hockey games are really fun and the Stars have a rep for bringing in noisy fans, so the environment should be cool.

Although the Kings are awful, so not sure how excited the crowd would be for that.

Hockey is 100x better in person than on the tube. The problem with TV coverage of hockey is that they can't follow the puck so you miss lots of action. For $15 I'd go. I've spent $15 for upper level seats at the E Center to see the Grizzlies. I definitely think it's worth it for the NHL.

I agree. Hockey on TV is soccer with fights and they don't show the fights anymore. Hockey in person is fast, hard hitting and exciting.

I'd suggest you try and overcome your inherent Scottishness and buy some lower bowl seats. You won't be disappointed.

I keep telling Triple Father that he does NOT need to show up with a ticket. Scalpers will be unloading them like mad right before the game and the buyer can almost always get a great price. Sadly he doesn't listen.

How often do you plan on attending games? Maybe it's just me, but if I'm only going to attend one game a year or every couple years I'd want it to be an experience. The difference between hockey in the nose bleeds and hockey in the lower bowl is pretty significant.

Thanks. That helps. I'm not going to go.

I might try this approach at the New Mexico game.
