Grad schools in Europe
Do any of you smart, uber-educated people know anything about grad schools in Europe, particularly UK or Ireland? Can you take out American student loans?

The London School of Economics (LSE) is a fantastic school. The school is in downtown London (in the theater district), 5 minute walk to the Thames and St. Paul's Cathedral. You can take out American student loans.
If you are looking for a grad school in International Relations, PolySci, Economics and various other grad school degrees, LSE is a great opportunity. Anyway, if you have any questions, let me know and good luck with all the decisions you are thinking about making. Last edited by UteStar; 08-20-2006 at 03:57 PM. |

In addition to my earlier post: I believe you can take out american student loans at most well known European universities...such as LSE, London Business School, Oxford, Cambridge, etc. I think you go to the government student loan page as well and find out specifically which schools you can take out american loans from. If you have any questions, let me know.

Mike, the problem is that since Texas isn't really part of the United States, nor is it recognized as really anything, I don't believe you can take out any american student loans on any school in Texas. But they may have changed the rules recently.

Fwiw, two of the best if not the best International relations masters degrees come from Johns Hopkins SAIS and the London School of Economics. If you have any questions on either, let me know and I will try and help you. The biggest difference between the two is that LSE is a one year program while SAIS is two years. LSE is also a lot of theory in its studies.

Have you considered Georgetown? I know it's here in the US but it's a good school and you're in DC. (And you could hang out with Hoya!)

A good friend of mine is getting his poly sci
master's from gwu. He has encouraged me to apply there. Grad in Europe sounds damn enticing.
