I've said this multiple times before, there are undoubtedly some fascinating discoveries that will occur in the next 20 years, related to archaeology in the Amazon. They already know that they have only scratched the surface, and there is evidence of prior large-scale settlements in the amazon. The indigenous people of the Amazon today were once thought to be the only kind of civilization that could be eked out in the Amazon. But we know that to be false now. They could in the past remediate the soil and plant crops.

Of course this may have zilch to do with the Book of Mormon. Or.....it may.
