That's because you put too small of a proportion on the bread. When making a proper PBJ, the peanut butter is to be about the same thickness of one slice of bread.

Smooth is for beginners. Vive le Crunchy!

Absolutely there is an answer. Creamy Jiff. When I got married and my wife bought crunchy Skippy I nearly freaked out. We got past that difference and she's now a creamy eater. Oh and she was raised on Miracle Whip as well. :s

Jiff was totally the way to go until Skippy Natural came out.
You're a good 18 months behind, my friend.

Skippy Natural, eh? I'll have to check it out. You know sometimes she'll buy the Walmart brand creamy and it actually is not too bad. I know I'll get flamed for that, but I'll stand up for my Walmart dependance.

peanut butter, good for:

1. pancakes/waffles--a must
2. for a snack: a good slice of grandma sycamore bread, lightly buttered first, then generously spread peanut butter
3. occasional peanut butter and honey sandwich (has to have the butter first), haven't had pb&j for years

I used to buy the Sam's Choice PB for baking to save a few cents. But now I'm all Target. I just can't turn away from the snazzy red logo.

I cheat; I have sources.

Actually one can find the small jars of Skippy in stores here for $5 - $6 a pop.

Sometimes I put PB and Nutella on a baguette. A nice break from that stinky cheese.

Vive le difference!

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

Hear Hear! Nothing like pancakes/waffeles/french toast, covered with gobs of peanut butter, drenched in real maple syrup.

My whole family thinks it's gross ... they don't know what they're missing.

Learned this one on the mish ...
