While not wanting to be drawn into making generalizations about the intelligence of policemen, I do remember a news story where an applicant was denied entry because he tested too high on an IQ test.

They claimed he would be too bored working as a policeman.

In an old ward during a priesthood lesson, a cop told us about how he planted evidence when he knew people were guilty because they knew the scumbags would get off if they didn't. He said all cops did this.

You see this stuff in movies but you don't expect your neighbor to make that kind of confession in a church meeting.
