Default Former UFC Champ Evan Tanner Dead

Found dead by a helicopter in the California desert where he went to cleanse himself. Reminiscent of "Into the Wild."

He blogged for Spike.com and this was one of his last entries:

"I've been gathering my gear for this adventure for over a month, not a long time by most standards, but far too long for my impatient nature," Tanner wrote. "Being a minimalist by nature, wanting to carry only the essentials, and being extremely particular, it has been a little difficult to find just the right equipment. I plan on going so deep into the desert that any failure of my equipment could cost me my life."

i think it was suicide. He left on Friday or late Thursday and sent a text to a friend on Friday afternoon that he was out of water and in bad shape. He ran out of water in a few hours. Clearly he didn't take enough water. Wouldn't water be the first thing you make sure you have when going into the desert?
