The recent post on journal-keeping inspired me to look back at entries from high school.

As a teen, my first job was with the University of Utah football team, dishing up their dinner. Basically they would go through the line and tell me what they wanted.

On halloween, a student dressed up as a gangster, with a blue bandana. I watched as Henry Lusk approached him, laughing, and pointed towards Luther Ellis, and told the guy to walk up to Luther and say "what up Cuz?"

He did just that, and Luther looked like he was about to rip the guy's throat out.

What % of NCAA athletes do you think go to college with gang affiliations?

I answered very few because I believe the vast majority of kids in a gang care about going to school. I admire those who were able to distant themselves from the bad influence of their gangs and do something positive with their lives.

BYU FB gang affiliation is usually with gang rape.

I said very few because you said all NCAA athletes. I just don't see too many track and field girls being gang bangers.

Had you mentioned NCAA Football and Basketball players, I may put it in the 5-25% category, but even then I'd say that it is closer to 5% than 25%.
