Default BYU vs. Utah

nothing to really say. Another display of ineptitude.

So slow.

Is Ty using the correct offense for a team that is consistently low on athletes? Shouldn't BYU try something more gimmicky to confuse opposing defenses?

Why did Ula only get five touches?

He probably needs to run an offense that doesn't require multiple reads. One read. Or two reads at the most. The game is too fast for Mangum. He can't scan the field and making timing throws. A lot of guys can't. I think that's one thing that has made the spread so successful in college. You have a lot more QBs than can run the offense. It's a system. A pro-style offense relies on having a pro-style QB. We don't have that.

The old BYU offense consisted of a lot of throws to the TE. Some deep throws to receivers. A lot of passes to RBs in the flat. And draw plays.
