I agree as long as it is clear he is talking about his politics. The quote I read in the SL Trib. didn't make that clear, although I assume the man is smart enough to not openly rip on the whole character of a former prophet.

Heh, ok. Please explain to me again what it is I said that you disagree with. I'm honestly (no pun intended) not following you.

Talk about crossing the line.
I'm guessing the ward he attends is in DC, so he is surrounded by lemmings who think the same as Reid does.

I would rather explain what I said. I know what I said and I would be guessing at what you meant.

There is no flaw in making some comparisons between a Senator and a Prophet. You can't compare how well they are leading as they are leading differing purposes.

However, should their purposes cross I don't hold the Prophets political views to be any stronger than the politicians. I might because I agree, but not because he is the prophet. It is mildly offensive if based on that opinion someone accuses me of not having respect for apostolic callings.

However, I can make a comparison in saying both men should be honest.

All he would have to do is attend church in Mass. and he would be considered a flaming conservative.

At least he says he was always anti abortion. Can't say that for Mitt.

See, I knew we fundamentally agreed.

The dig about the apostolic calling was not specifically aimed at you. It was just a general shotgun blow to CG as a group. You know ... gotta start off the morning with some healthy bombast.

In the higher estate you function in though, you should be above doing things like that.
