This article makes me want to puke.

I'm pretty much resolved that if McCain doesn't win the nomination, I'm voting for the democratic candidate. Because every other Republican supports the Bush/Rumsfeld tactics.

The soul of America is at stake. And the bad guys are winning.

I am sure that my old man is turning over in his grave over this one. I must have heard about duty, loyalty and honor a million times growing up. To see the top brass sully themselves in such a political way is disgusting.

The real downside for the military from Abu Ghraib and the attendant scapegoating is that it undermines the military's image as an institution above politics and undermines the credibility of future officers.

Of course, this is not to mention the damage done to the moral standing in the world that we have spent decades building. What a sad, sad excuse for leadership civilian and military.

The military, just like any other major organization, has miscreants and malcontents which are, if I remember correctly, being duly punished for their crimes. The vast majority who are in it believe in and abide by the noble principles on which it was founded.

But that won't get in the way of a few lefties using it as an excuse to order up another full plate of worms to chew on.

My dear Tex, I read all your posts, and I rarely reply to any of them.

I have never used the word Nazi on this board, and certainly never accused you or anyone else of harboring an inner one.

I believe I did point out that an a priori assumption of moral superiority lays the foundation to justify any number of evils. I stand by that remark.
