That link only reinforced my belief that I'm not that bright.

But I could hit a curveball when I was in school. I bet ol' Walt couldn't.

It doesn't have much to do with being bright or not. But you're right, Benjamin wasn't an athlete in the least.

Why do I think of him as an art critic?

I do like the arguments about translations.

Jetztzeit and Gegenwart is a good example.

It is difficult to read German philosophy, even in German, because the German is highly specialized. Just reading the Adorno letters makes my head spin.
