Home Teaching
I have not been taught in three and one half years. Has anybody received less than that?
I am not complaining and am quite pleased to be ignored, but wondered how many others are in that regard.

I once went 54 months between home teaching visits from Jan 2004 to July 2008.
My current ward does not have elders being home taught, only the sisters are. |

In 10 years or so, I would say we have been hometaught about 6 times. 3 of those times have been in the past year, and by hometaught, I mean the hometeacher brought cookies to the door two of those three times.
My kids don't even know what hometeachers are. |

You are on par with me Mike. I wonder if we will retain the hometeaching concept in light of members failure to implement it. Not that I'm complaining but the inactive generally disdain members coming by and the members are too busy with other callings to make good use of it.

Some people are high-need, some are not.
For example, my Bishop has asked that I help advise my homteachee financially. Inventory all the ins (nothing) and outs (lots). And give him advice on getting a job. Yikes. Life overhaul. Stuff like this is going on all the time. |
