Default bamboo flooring

Anyone have any experience or know of anyone that has bamboo flooring. I have spent quite a bit of time looking into getting a bamboo hardwood floor but I wanted to see if any had used it before. Some of the benefits are that it is a renewable wood (it grows, can be cut down and can re-grow within a couple of years) and that it is as hard or harder than oak floors.

I also like the look of it as well. Any other thoughts on it?

I had a home health patient who had bamboo flooring installed throughout her entire house. It looked beautiful. She described it as being "incredibly expensive but totally worth it."

Bamboo flooring was just listed as a poor home improvement choice in a Yahoo article because the cost is higher than regular wood flooring on a resale option but provides few benefits above wood to would-be buyers.

You are a killjoy Parrot.

Actually, I keep hearing how expensive it is but I have found some respectable places that sell it at very good prices. But, it is not the cheapest option, that is for sure. I have heard that it may not do as well in dry climates, so I have a little more research to do.
