Heras (rhymes with dumbass, as in getting caught) pulled a Landis (which coincidentally is also pronounced to rhyme with dumbass) in the Vuelta and doped and then went out and won a stage and the race and lo and behold was caught cheating. What did he think was going to happen?

No more Heras, no more Ullrich, or Vino or Beloki. Cycling is going through some upheaval right now. In addition to dealing with the drug issue, cycling also needs to decide who is in charge, UCI, the grand tours, protours, or someone else. It is an administrative nightmare and the real losers are the riders and the fans. It is a travesty and I hope it is fixed soon.

This year has really been a house cleaning for cycling. It really makes it hard to believe that Armstrong was clean during those years while beating all the guys that were caught cheating or admitted to it.
