The criticism I read and hear about Walmart sounds like it comes straight out of the rhetoric of the moochers and looters in Atlas Shrugged.

I spent $160 dollars at Walmart today. I am pleased with my shopping experience.
it is place to stock up on cheap groceries

The old grocery chains like Kroger have much better insurance.
I buy what you are saying about Wal-Mart helping the poor man's dollar stretch further but when you try to tout them as a generous employer you have definitely stepped into the land of the ill-informed.
Walmart is not a generous employer. But they pay 74% of the premium for health insurance. The national average for retail is 77%. That's not that big of a difference. If they can't afford it they can go on Medicaid.

It's true that unionized grocery stores pay much higher wages, but the difference is erased by higher grocery prices.

The widespread sexism of which you speak is illegal and if true Walmart should be sued. But there are Big 5 accounting firms and investment banks that make their workers work OT without pay. Americans work hard, and

Walmart + Clinton + Obama = work pays.

wal-mart has been successfully sued multiple times for forcing workers to work off the clock, in wal-mart's defence i have heard they have changed some of those practices and no longer pressure employees work off the clock

Its got better prices than walmart.... Sure their selection might not be stellar but for 80% of what you need Aldi is the place.
Frickin' Germans and their crappy discount stores. I wouldn't be caught dead shopping in that Euro trash store. Plus, it's about ten minutes from my house. The rest are only five.

Walmart makes goods affordable for the poor but doesn't pay them enough. AFFORDABLE GOODS

Clinton comes in, expands EITC, makes sure poor workers' kids don't lose their medicaid, so that Walmart workers get to their wages subsidized and are rewarded for working rather than living off welfare. MORE DISPOSABLE INCOME

As Ryan said, Walmart is sued for mistreating workers, and they stop the practice, giving the poor better working conditions.IMPROVED WORKING CONDITIONS

LIBERAL SUCCESS STORY!

Obama has arrived to do for the middle class what Clinton did for the poor.

whenever I find out that someone is a huge Ayn Rand fan, almost without fail it is someone with huge empathy issues (as in having little to no empathy).

I've never actually read Ayn Rand, because I was turned off by the high school essay competition that they run, which has a Scienetics feel to it.

I don't think I have missed much.
