How come sometimes their are posts marked that i have read them, when i have not? I hope this makes sense. Is their a time limit to read a new thread before the boldness goes away? or the orange bookmark in each category?

I don't know.

The time limit (default) for a unread thread to turn into a read thread is 10 days. But it doesn't seem like that is how it is actually working.
