I can't imagine what kind of woman would consider wearing anything shorter. scandalous! I don't even own any shorts, myself.

On your application, you should tell of how you tend to dress during important tests. It's a clever strategy and the committee will be looking for critical thinkers.

I don't even remember what the honor code said. Interestingly, the only part I rdo emember is no shorts above the knee. That's the key to righteous, honorable living after all. Now I'm curious to see what else is in that thing.
Isn't the short thing for TR holders only?

So above the knees one should not wear shorts. Got it. Barbara, can you handle not wearing shorts?

When I went to BYU the only place you could find women's shorts that went to the knee was at the BYU Bookstore and they were absolutely ridiculous-looking and unflattering to any woman. It's much easier now that you can find cute and stylish board shorts at many women's stores. I see a lot of women wearing them, even those who haven't signed an honor code.

I can handle not wearing shorts, yes. Not buttoning my shorts, also yes. Long shorts, no way. I'm not tall enough for that. I'd look awful. I'll just wear miniskirts instead.

They have a lot of options available at outdoorsman and climbing stores. Rei.com usually has a bunch, and their outlet prices are great.

As an adult, I don't wear shorts either. But as an 18-22 year-old I did--which is why I remember that part, I suppose. It's not like I went around in Daisy Dukes before, and I still think all my shorts were modest, even though above the knee. The whole issue just highlights the absurdity of much of that honor code.

Most of the adult women I know would probably have more of an issue with the sleevless prohibition than anything. Because heaven forbid some sex-deprived young adult should see a woman's bare upper arm.

I did go back and browse through it. It's much longer than I remembered (obviously, since I only remember one bit). http://honorcode.byu.edu/content/view/3585/

Yes, how absurd it is for a church owned school to have a dress code in line with wearing garments.

in all fairness, the garment itself probably feels absurd to many Christians.
