Default LDS Economists at Top Schools (response to Arch's inquiry a while back)

I remember Archaea asked this question about if there any LDS economists at the top schools.

I had knowledge of it but I didn't gather my thoughts.

The top-ranked schools are (1) MIT, (2) Harvard, and (3) Chicago, with some year-to-year variation.

Econometrician Whitney Newey is a strong member of the Church and is at the top-ranked economics school, MIT.

Lant Pritchett, an LDS development economist is at Harvard (right now he is at the Kennedy School directing their MPAID program).

There is a less-active Nobel Prize winner Lars Hansen at Chicago. He is still supportive of the Church and BYU.

Also, both Kim Clark's and Clayton Christensen's PhDs are in economics.

Good information.
