Default Rose deserves a ton of credit for many things, but one thing stands out...

and that is how his players improve while at BYU.

You can go up and down the list and see improvement.

Look at Jimmer's progression from freshman to senior.

Davies from freshman to sophomore. Night and day.

Charles A. from arrival to now. So much more polished and skilled now.

Emery as well.

There's only one guy who stands out in my mind as not improving very much, and that's Trent Plaisted. I suspect that is more a reflection on Trent than on Dave Rose. Esp. given the huge strides that Davies has made in the post.

There are many coaches in America that don't develop players like Rose. There guys play hard, they play D, but especially on offense, don't improve. With Rose you have the best of both worlds.

agreed. He has shown his coaching worth this year alone.

From one's freshman year to his senior year, his performance improves?

Groundbreaking. Give that coach a raise.

Actually yes, young padwan. I know that you are now long unfamiliar with having a coach who actually coaches and makes his players better, rather than just recruiting JCs, throwing a ball on the court, and praying for a win.

University of Utah is turning into a coaching graveyard. Who's head will be on the block next?

Agree completely. I hope he continues to want to stay at BYU.

I wonder if we feed this info to recruits.
