I wasn't paying attention yet, (watched on tv, not in person) but aparrently a lady ran toward the front yelling something about a false prophet and her being a relative of Joseph Smith.

What did I miss? Could you see anything or just hear the audio?

I always miss all of the good stuff. I missed the Cody thing back in 1993(???) because I stayed home to study for a Psych test.

I was there when Cody Judy had his moment. I was a freshman at the time.

It wasn't really about a false prophet - she did claim to be a descendent if Joseph Smith and her story is that she wanted to give the First Presidency more translated scripture.

I was there too. I was with my wife to be and when Cody came down onto the main floor and was waving his cell phone, we thought he had a gun. I pushed my wife to the floor (as much as you can there) and kind of "covered" her. My good friend and roommate was with a girl that he couldn't stand. He ducked to the floor and left her there. It was pretty funny.

That was a very surreal experience. I thought it was some kind of sick object lesson at first. My mind just couldn't process that it was real. When I finally realized it was real, I couldn't believe that nobody was leaving. We were down near floor seating (my best seats ever at the MC) and I'm thinking "geez, if this guy blows up the suitcase I'm a dead man". My younger brother was sitting in the very top row and said he felt pretty far removed from what was happening. Never afraid at all.

Anyone remember the hilarious quote in the Daily Universe after the incident? "Don't mess with the Elders of Israel". That may have been the most embarrassing quote of all time.

Did you know, after serving several years in prison, Cody Judy opened a coffee shop in Bountiful two years ago and ran a write-in campaign for the US Senate?

Yeah, I saw Cody's website back in the day.

One of my TA's went to elementary school with Cody Judy. He was also the cousin of one of my mission comp's (weird guy btw, must be in the genes).

I too thought Cody had a gun. I was near the top, and wasn't leaving for the simple reason I wanted to see what would happen. I thought it was very possible someone would die. Didn't realize his "weapon" was a phone or whatever.

He was wearing this really light colored suit. That was the surreal part of it. It was like someone dressed as Michael Jackson rushing the stage with a gun. Good times.

Cody Judy was close cousin to one of my wife's roommates'/a good friend and she would get all frazzled and exasperated when we'd mention him.

EDIT: roommate of wife/ good friend of mine. No family relation at all, though I'm sure there might be some interesting in-law stories somewhere.

So you and Cody are practically brothers, eh?
