Default New championship format announced for PGA

Any thoughts as to how this will turn out? When I first heard of it last week, I was intrigued.

It will likely add some drama to the end of the golf season, but I imagine there will be a lot of opposition to it. There are too many purists in the sport, like those who still think the British Open is the best Major, that will push hard to keep the format as it is and avoid turning it into a points contest like Nascar.

Plus, this way Tiger Woods will have to compete more regularly through the year and not just focus on Majors like he has trended toward recently. And if you've ever seen he or Phil Mickelsons wives, I'd be ticked too if I had to spend more time away from them and more time with my caddy.
