Worst Restaurant Ever?
My vote goes to The RainForest Cafe.
Been 3 times and all 3 times some of the worst meals I've ever had.

When I read the subject line but before I read your message I thought of the same place. It's not as bad as some dives I've eaten in while on the road, I suppose, but it's pretty bad for the price and location you usually find it in. My kids liked the decor, however.

Kentucky Fried Chicken...
might not be as nice, but I assure you, the food will have you running for the restroom fairly quickly.

I have 2 places that were so bad, I still nearly throw up:
Cynthia's Bar (London, England)--probably the worst food that I have ever tasted. Not only was the entire place empty on a Friday night...but after we ordered, we saw the 'Chef' leave and come back 15 minutes later. We have no doubt that he went to buy the items that we requested so he could cook it. Trully horrific. A Thai restaurant on the Big Island, Hawaii-I love green chicken curry. This was so atrocious that I nearly stabbed my eyes out with the plastic forks they gave me. It was up in the secluded rainforesty area of the big island. Ubelievable, stomach churning food. |

The real question is: are you going back a fourth time?

I don't know the name of the place, but about 10 years ago my wife and I stopped into a mom and pop Mexican food place in SLC. East side, 33rd So. or so. Anyway, we go in there and this skanky looking waitres disinterestedly sits us down. We ask for chips and salsa and are informed it costs extra. So we pay the $5 or whatever it was for the chips and salsa. They bring out what could only be Macey's value bag chips and some REALLY watered down, weak salsa. We eat a few chips and look at each other and decide if the chips are that bad, we weren't going to risk the food. So we paid for our drinks and chips and got the heck outta there.

Don't know the name of the place but it was in Tijuana, where obviously they do not have an FDA. And for the life of me, I do not understand why Menudo is considered a delicacy in Mexico.

You've never lived until you have eaten pig ears and chicken feet in China.
