Parental Control Software
Does anyone use parental control software? Which package do you like? I actually don't want a real strict filter (my kids already know better than to try to get anything by me). Something to block the extreme sites and accidental hits would be nice, but I don't want to come and enter in a password every time someone is doing a report on Breast Cancer (hey, why is my son always choosing that topic anyway?). It needs to be able to handle multiple users, give me reports on what they are doing, and have time management features, so the kids don't spend all day online when we are out. Also, the ability to block individual sites we specify would be nice.

This is a good place to start for product reviews...
http://top-parental-control-software.com/ I'll buy some this year too, as my kids are getting old enough to be online more and more. Let me know which product you end up getting. |

I know several people that use Net Nanny, which is fairly similar to Content Protect. |

We use Cybersitter. It has all the features you describe and is reasonably priced. No annual fee. I have been quite happy with it.

I've found that "Threat Of A Foot Up The Ass" has been very effective at my house.
