Default OK BYU fans thoughts on the offseason so far for Cougar Basketball

Since it looks like things are wrapped up for BYU on the recruiting end, what are your thoughts on BYU's offseason.

I will give you my thoughts on the Utes offseason. Today Calassan the guy that Boylen cut lose was signed by Kentucky. If Kentucky is signing the guy, the guy is a player. Losing Deane and Calassan hurt this team. It is going to be a struggle next year, with only Nevill to play center. However, it does tell me one thing about Boylen, he is building for the future at Utah. He sees this as a destination job currently. Now things can change, but he does not make these moves if he is looking at Utah as a 2-3 year option to move up in the coaching world.

My understanding is that Deane will have to go the JUCO route, as he rarely attended any of his classes. He really has no choice.

I honestly don't know what to think of BYU basketball's off-season.

Most people I think might characterize it as disapointing...we didn't get our #1 target in Garrett who's going to Oklahoma State and Jean Carlos Otero turned out to be ineligible to transfer.

Next years team could be an enigma. I will say all the freaking out over no point guard is interesting seeing that not a single person has actually seen Lamont Morgan play and yet many Cougar fans are already calling his scholarship a waste, which of course is ignorance at it's height.

I'm at a loss as what to expect.
