Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

I'm certain she will!

I'm trying to decide when to go. The lines are going to be terrible this year.

I passed by on my way to work this morning at 6:30 and the parking lot was full with lines out the door. I'll try at lunch. If I can't walk in and vote without waiting, then screw it. No blood on my hands.

Oregon is smart. They do 100% mail-in voting.

Flash says he'll start voting just as soon as they let him do it online.

Do you have to take the little ones along? I always thought they should have an expresslane for moms with toddlers.

Mail-in is the way to go! No lines for me either in California. I dropped my ballot off last Friday.

ohmygosh. I tried to go vote just now, thinking this is usually the slowest time of day. The parking lot was full and there were cars parked on the road two blocks in each direction.

Soup, see if you can find somebody to scope it out for you before you try to brave the polls with the kids.
