LOST better pick up fast
The last two episodes have been abysmal.
I'm not one of those types that demand instant entertainment. What draws me to LOST is the character development and the good story--doesn't matter how long it takes to tell it as long as they're actually telling it. The last two episodes were crap. Last week's back story was lame. We already know Jack pretty well. Nothing in the Thailand story gave any insight into his character. We were supposed to learn the meanings of his tattoo's? Well I still don't understand the significance, and I'm going to assume there is none. The bit with Juliet going on trial and getting branded was good but that was a small crumb. This episode was pure crap. The Hugo/dad/eating thing was good but we got that in the first minute and then nothing else the rest of the show. I don't necessarily need to know everything about the island and the others right away but I at least want a good story. |

what, seeing a VW van driving over the grass in Hawaii doesn't do it for you?
I'm sorry if the writers can't please the impossible! |

Hurley is my favorite character on the show, and I was laughing through the entire episode...mostly because it was sooo bad and unintentionally funny.

I have been a defender of Lost (I don't think it is as good as it was in the first season, but I haven't minded the back stories) but last nights story was pretty bad.
It appears that the car was there for a while...I dozed for about 2 minutes, how did they get the car started. The gas couldn't be good anymore, so how did it get going? I did hear something interesting...Hurley's friend Randy who was his employee at the new Chicken fast food place--this person said that Randy was the one that was tormenting Locke at Locke's old job (from season 1). He was Locke's manager at that box company. It now seems to be connecting Locke and Hurley together which I found interesting. |

I can't explain why I didn't like them that well. I just know I felt bored watching, which rarely has ever happened when I watch Lost. And it's not an issue of short term, cheap entertainment. I'm much more likely to be bored during a chase scene than during dialogue.
