Hmmm. Interesting. On the theory that he can’t recruit at BYU, I suppose. Not because he’s a bad recruiter, but because BYU is not an attractive place to play.

I don’t think the fan base would cry if he did. Because the fan base doesn’t believe in the premise that BYU is hard to recruit to. “Everyone loves BYU, what’s not to like about BYU?”

It may take a few coaches in a row running into the same problem for the fan base to learn.

Having said that, I’m definitely NOT impressed with the guys he’s brought in, for the most part.

BYU's success this coming season--like last season--is dependent on the transfer portal. BYU still needs two more guards who can score.
